Announcing keynote speaker Helena Grehan

We are pleased to announce that Dr Helena Grehan of Murdoch University will be one of the keynote speakers at CATR2018.

Helena Grehan

Dr Grehan is Professor in the School of Arts at Murdoch University, Australia. She is the author of Mapping Cultural Identity in Contemporary Australian Performance (PeterLang, 2001) and Performance, Ethics and Spectatorship in a Global Age (Palgrave Macmillan, 2009), ‘We’re People Who Do Shows’, Back to Back Theatre: Performance, Politics, Visibility (co-edited with Peter Eckersall, Performance Research Books, 2013) and William Yang: Stories of Love and Death (co-authored with Edward Scheer, New South Books, 2016). She writes essays on performance and technology, art and politics and spectatorship and ethics.

She is currently working with Professor Peter Eckersall, Dr Caroline Wake, Dr Edward Patterson, E/Prof Janelle Reinelt and Professor Ed Scheer on an ARC Discovery project on theatre and politics. Her most recent book co-authored with Peter Eckersall and Edward Scheer is New Media Dramaturgy: Performance, Media and New-Materialism (2017, Palgrave Macmillan.) She is Chief Editor of Performance Paradigm.
